“I know, that was suggested by the Discovery Chanel, but it is very much disputed by the experts.”

“You mean the same experts who say the Thunderbird does not exist?”

Even a couple hours after their sighting the two of them were still feeling jittery from the adrenaline rush of their sighting. They were still feeing the euphoria and would likely feel this way for a few days. That is when they decided to start another fire in order to heat up and make more coffee. A few minutes later, the two of them sat down with coffees in hand to discuss more on what they had seen.

Throughout the afternoon, the feeling the two of them were experiencing from the adrenaline had finally subsided and now they were both feeling lethargic. The entire day seemed very surreal to them. It was like despite what they had seen, they repeatedly questioned their own sighting. Even though they had it on video and photos, they still had to question it in their own minds.

This conversation continued periodically for several hours and would likely be a major topic for several days. Although the bulk of their conversation was repeating what they had already said. There was little new information to add to the discussion. As the afternoon progressed into the evening, there was less and less for them to discuss that had any significance to the topic. However, by dinner time the totality of what they had seen was beginning to settle in.

Finally, David suggested that they use his video camera to record each other talking about their experience and what they saw. Memories will fade and change over time. The video was shot from so far away, but it told a story too. A discovery without proper documentation was viewed like it never really happened. So, a video record of them along with the actual Thunderbird itself, made for far better evidence.

With Joel going first, David took out the video camera and proceeded to record him telling how they came to see it, what his thoughts were, the sequence of events and just as important, his thoughts on what he believed he saw. It all sounded so incredible, but that was an accurate representation of what their thoughts were. When Joel finished talking about his experience, he then took the camera from David and recorded the same from him. Now his thoughts were recorded too.

They were still both in a mixed state of both disbelief and confusion along with elation and happiness. Even though they had the video to confirm it, they both still questioned what they had actually seen. That was human nature due to witnessing something so remarkable. They now have the evidence, and to them this was all the proof these two needed.

They both understood that in this age of video and photo manipulation, there were no reason others should believe them. At least not until they the video footage that they had was analyzed by professionals as their proof. Still it is so hard to know what is real and what is fake anymore.
